From the age of 7, Dr. Swope just knew that she was going to be a veterinarian. Since then, she has dedicated herself to always being the very best vet she can be for her patients. Her goal is to treat all pets as if they were her own and provide them with the very best care.

A native Southern California girl, she grew up in Van Nuys and La Crescenta before moving to the Inland Empire for her undergraduate and graduate studies. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science from Cal Poly Pomona and went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences.

She’s finally settled down in Shadow Hills, where she shares her home and life with 6 dogs, a pig named Nikki, 8 kitties, 5 horses, a fish named Marcus, 4 ducks, and a flock of chickens. Oh yeah, and two humans!

Dr. Alexandra De La Torre joined our team in 2020 and has enjoyed developing relationships with our clients and furry patients. She grew up in North Hollywood, California and earned her Bachelor’s of Science from UCLA, Go Bruins! She then attended Los Angeles Pierce College to complete requirements to apply for veterinary school and received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona, California. Her personal interests include traveling, catching up on shows/movies, and spending time with her family and friends. She looks forward to meeting you and your pet and helping you take the best care of their health!
