We know that age- or injury-related bone problems are stressful for both pets and owners alike. At Sweet Home Veterinary Hospital, we’re proud to offer skilled orthopedic surgical procedures to help manage a variety of conditions in pets.
If your animal has been exhibiting signs of lameness or limping, please don’t hesitate to contact us for an evaluation. You can either bring your pet into the clinic, or we can come to you with our mobile veterinary services. Common surgical procedures that we perform in our veterinary hospital include ACL stifle repair, femoral head ostectomy (FHO), the treatment of bone fractures and medial patellar luxation (MPL). We want to help you manage your pet’s congenital and developmental orthopedic conditions to improve problems with chronic lameness. And if your animal has experienced an acute physical trauma, it’s important that they receive quick and skilled medical treatment to prevent long-term issues.
After surgical procedures, our doctors and staff pay special attention to providing exceptional home care pain management tools. We want you to feel like you’re getting the very best for your pet in an otherwise difficult situation. To help non-invasively manage pain, we also offer laser therapy which is a drug-free treatment that has been scientifically proven to help reduce post-operative pain and inflammation. We often use this in conjunction with standard drug-based pain treatment plans after a surgery.
